What If Love Is the Orgasm?

Soulful Thoughts Under the Taurus Full Moon...
October 26, 2026 — Love, Self-Worth, Sovereignty, and the Great Pole Shift
I awoke at 3 a.m. this morning with some thoughts about love, sexuality, and fulfillment. After putting them into words, I wondered what was happening astrologically.
Naturally! A Full Moon in Taurus, with the Sun illuminating the opposite sign of Scorpio. What better celestial arrangement for contemplating love, sensuality, sexuality, personal values, and the deeper meaning of intimacy?
The Taurus–Scorpio Axis: What Do We Truly Value?
Taurus, ruled by Venus, governs our relationship with the physical world: our bodies, senses, possessions, self-worth, and the things we value. Scorpio takes us beneath the surface into sexuality, emotional attachments, power, transformation, and the mysteries of life and death.
In my experience, when you are with the man or woman you truly love and feel deeply fulfilled, you have no desire to seek someone else. And perhaps those periods when we find ourselves alone are gifts, inviting us into a deeper relationship with ourselves.
Could self-love be the balancing force that harmonizes the physical and emotional charges our bodies carry? Wilhelm Reich explored sexual energy and what he called orgone, or life-force energy. But perhaps there is another dimension to the function of orgasm worth contemplating.
What if love itself is the orgasm?
What if love is the life-force energy that surrounds and moves through all living things, not something we must seek, capture, or possess, but something we simply allow?
Sexual expression without genuine connection may sometimes deepen our longing rather than satisfy it. Perhaps the same is true of addictive pursuits, where external gratification becomes an endless attempt to fill an inner emptiness.
Venus Retrograde: Remembering Our Worth
This Full Moon feels especially meaningful because Venus, ruler of Taurus, is retrograde in Libra, inviting a reassessment of our relationships, values, and the balance between giving and receiving. Meanwhile, the Scorpio Sun stands close to Venus and forms a challenging square to Pluto in Aquarius. The Moon also squares Pluto, creating a powerful fixed-sign T-square. Symbolically, this brings the question of power into sharp focus: Who or what have we allowed to determine our worth?
Consider how industries can profit from our perceived deficiencies. Pharmaceutical marketing may encourage us to medicalize ordinary human experiences, while recreational drugs promise to enhance or numb our feelings. The sexual exploitation industry commodifies intimacy and desire. People will pay enormous sums to escape pain or fill what they believe is missing within themselves.
Who benefits when we are taught to look outside ourselves for everything we believe we lack?
The Scorpio Sun: Illuminating What Has Been Hidden
Here lies the solar significance of this Full Moon. The Sun represents consciousness, vitality, and awareness. In Scorpio, that light penetrates the shadows, exposing our fears, dependencies, attachments, and unconscious motivations. Pluto's involvement intensifies the symbolism of transformation, particularly around collective power and the systems that govern our lives.
The question is no longer simply, Who do I love?
It becomes: What within me needs healing so that I may love freely, without fear, possession, or dependency? What if we remembered our innate capacity to feel, heal, love, and govern ourselves? Could the greatest revolution be humanity remembering its own wholeness and taking responsibility for itself?
The Great Pole Shift: Within Us and Upon the Earth
The Taurus–Scorpio opposition reminds us that life is a dance between apparent opposites: matter and spirit, security and surrender, possession and release. Humanity is experiencing its own pole shift not just physically but spiritually, moving from fear to love, dependency to sovereignty, and exploitation to stewardship.
Our Earth, too, is a living, changing planet. Its magnetic poles move, its waters rise and fall, and its landscapes are continually reshaped. Although magnetic pole reversals are not scientifically established in our literature, archaeology and ancient Indian documents invite deeper reflection.
Taurus is an Earth sign. It reminds us that our relationship with the planet reflects what we truly value. Do we cherish her waters, nourish her soil, and protect the generations yet to come? Or do we continue seeking fulfillment through endless consumption?
Another important pole shift is happening within human consciousness.
From taking to giving. From possessing to cherishing. From being governed by fear to being guided by love.
The hunger for fulfillment can never be satisfied entirely in the external world when its source lies within. The greatest love affair of our lives begins with ourselves.
And perhaps when we remember how to love ourselves, we will remember how to love one another and the Earth that gives us life.
The pole shift begins within. ❤️
